Invoking that reality

(Quotations from The Upanishads)

I will give you the Word all the scriptures glorify, all spiritual disciplines express, to attain which aspirants lead a life of sense-restraint and self-naughting. It is Om. This symbol of the Godhead is the highest. Realizing it one finds complete fulfillment of all one's longings. It is of the greatest support to all seekers. Those in whose heart OM reverberates unceasingly are indeed blessed and deeply loved as one who is the Self
(Katha Up. Part 1, 2:15-17, p. 86)

O Lord, from whom we receive the mantram as a weapon to destroy our self-will, reveal yourself, protector of all.
(Shvetashvatara Up. 3:6, p. 222)

The mantram is the bow, the aspirant is the arrow, and the Lord the target. Now draw the bowstring of meditation, and hitting the target be one with him.
(Mundaka Up. Part 2, 2:4, p. 114)

When the whole mantram ... goes on reverberating in the mind, One is freed from fear, awake or asleep... Established in this cosmic vibration, the sage goes beyond fear, decay, and death to enter into infinite peace.
(Prashna Up. Question 5, 6-7, p. 166)
